Getting a quality beer pong table is very important if you like to play beer pong. Why would we say that? Because there's a few things that most people don't consider before they get a beer pong table. One of the big things that people try to do and then end up regretting is building a table from scratch.

Building a table by yourself seems like a good idea to many people, but there are some major pitfalls with building beer pong tables.

What are these pitfalls?

Fist off, if you're not very experienced with building "furniture like" structures, you may find that it's a lot more difficult than you think. You'll need to get the measurements perfect, get all the right supplies, and you'll also have to decide what materials you make it out of. If you're not making it out of wood, things get very complicated very fast.

If you are making it out of wood, then you probably can get the job done, but making it actually look good is another story. Unless your an artist at heart, or by trade, many people end up with a very basic, and unimpressive table. That's OK for many people but then the next pitfall kicks in.

They realize that they built a huge table in their living room, or dining room, etc. And now they can't actually get it out of that room. And if they can get it out of the room, there's nowhere to store it. Because it's a big, clunky heavy table. So now you're stuck with a permanent beer pong table in your place, that never leaves your sight. And if it's not the best looking thing in the first place, that just makes things worse.

Also, most of the time if you build a table from scratch it ends up costing you just as much as if you were to buy one pre-made.

So how do you get around these problems?

It's pretty simple, you either are a great builder, and a great artist, or you just buy a quality table online.

When you buy a pre-built table, it's not only going to look great, but most of them actually fold up into a suitcase like shape so they can easily fit in your closet when you're done with them. 

They're also very light, and easy to move around. And they'll look awesome when you're playing, and when you're done, the table will be hanging out in your closet, out of your way, and still ready to take out any time you decide to play beer pong at your next party. Another nice feature is that you can just fold up your table and bring it to someone else's party if you want to. That way you can bring the party to other parties.

Basically, it's usually easier just to grab a pre-built table online.

They're better looking, they fold up and fit in your closet, and they can go anywhere. And, they cost just about the same as building your own, or actually less money in most cases.
